OHD: Dietary Department

The Dietary Department is located on the second floor of the main building of Manila Doctors Hospital (MDH). It is operational at 5:00 AM and ends at 9:00 PM.
Nutrition Clinic
Clinic Hours: 10:00 AM - 12:00PM; 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Basket of Fruit
A free basket of fruits will be provided to all our suite rooms upon their admission as our way of welcoming them.
Extra Food Trays
Extra food trays for the patients' visitors/companions may be requested to the Dietary Department at least one (1) hour prior to the scheduled meal service. Prices are reasonable. For orders, please call up local 2770.
Nutrition Clinic
Low-salt, low-fat, low-cholesterol diets, reducing diets, computed diabetic diets, and up-building diets may be some of the concerns of patients. For those persons conscious of their diets or those on a special feeding regimen like tube feeding, they or their relatives may be referred by their doctor to the Dietary Department's Nutrition Clinic where a clinical dietitian will be available for the nutritional assessment, planning and counseling.
Clinic Hours: 10:00 AM - 12:00PM; 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
A charge varies from a P 150.00 - P 250.00 dependent on the type of disease/condition.
Special Catering
Special Catering is a new service of the department wherein meetings/ seminars sponsored by pharmaceutical companies and others are served by the department with reasonable price.
For late admission, tray will be served up to the following cut-off times:
- Breakfast - 8:30 AM
- Lunch - 1:30 PM
- Supper - 8:00 PM
Any change of diets received by the Dietary Department later than the time schedule stated below will be effective onto the next meal time schedule for change of diets:
- Breakfast - 6:00 AM
- Lunch - 10:30 AM
- Supper - 4:30 PM
Time schedule for late admission requests:
- Breakfast - 8:30 AM
- Lunch - 1:30 PM
- Supper - 8:00 PM
The Dietary Department is an integral unit in the total patient care in the hospital. Conscious of our obligation to care for the sick and infirm, we endeavor to do our part in keeping alive that Christian charity in patient care through provision of nutritious and palatable food.
The Dietary Department’s quality objective is to provide quality dietetic services to all of our patients.
