When Manila Doctors Hospital (MDH) was established in 1956, the Housekeeping Department and Linen and Laundry Departments were also established as separate departments, managed by different department heads.
On June 21, 2004, due to economic crisis, management decided to come up with the idea of outsourcing both departments to lessen its operational expenses, and implement more efficient cost saving measures. For housekeeping, the management acquired the services of a leading cleaning company. And for linen and laundry, it acquired the services of two (2) stable laundry companies. Through outsourcing, the two departments were merged into one department, aptly named Housekeeping and Linen Service.
The Housekeeping and Linen Service, true to its philosophy that a clean environment and clean linens will bring comfort to the body and spirit. It aims to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and more comfortable linen through its continuous quality programs. Research, plans and programs for the development of housekeeping and linen service are continuously done to deliver a more effective, efficient and productive service.
